American National Insurance Company is the parent company of the American National family of companies, collectively referred to as American National. Through the family of companies, American National offers life insurance products, annuities, property and casualty insurance, and other financial products and services.

The American National family of companies conducts business in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and certain U.S. territories. American National Insurance Company is authorized to sell its products to American military personnel in Western Europe. Through its subsidiary, American National de México, Compañía de Seguros de Vida (ANMEX), life insurance products are offered in Mexico. Unless otherwise indicated, the products and services are available in the U.S. only and not all products or services are available in all states. Only Garden State Life Insurance Company and the Farm Family companies are authorized to do business in the state of New York.
